The Candlelight can be described as a cozy, casual guesthouse rather than a traditional bed and breakfast. We don’t believe in hovering and have designed the guest experience to be independent as you wish. Your stay always includes:

We have stayed at a few places on our NFLD trip and would definitely pick Candlelight Inn to be our number one spot. The rooms are spacious & clean, the self serve breakfast selection is amazing to be enjoyed in a beautiful “kitchen” area. Restaurants, water front, craft & gift shops, trails etc are all close by.

The hosts and the Inn exceeded all our expectations. The rooms are clean, spacious, comfortable (best bed of our 12 day Newfoundland Trip), and quiet. My wife and I will return to Gros Morne and when we do this is where we intend to stay.

Rocky Harbour was everything we expected from a quaint fishing village, but the Candlelight Inn was even more than we expected. April and Michael are great hosts and the facilities are exceptionally clean and well outfitted. If you choose to stay with them, please make reservations well in advance so you won't miss out this wonderful spot.

It is easily one of the best places I’ve stayed in all my travels. What stood out most was how much care has clearly gone into every detail by Michael and April. The inn was genuinely spotless, the hosts were incredibly responsive and welcoming, and the shared kitchen was such a great feature for breakfast, and preparing lunches before heading out for hikes. Such a thoughtful, welcoming place. We would return without hesitation.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay. Not only well situated in the Gros Morne Park, but it has to be the best thought out Inn I’ve ever stayed at. The attention to detail was over the top. Super clean, comfortable bed and pillows, stocked kitchen… couldn’t ask for anything more. Would highly recommend!!!

April and Michael’s place is a complete gem. The accommodations were perfect—April and Michael thought of everything you could possibly need (from slippers to umbrellas) and the offerings for breakfast in the airy and bright dining room were plentiful, varied, healthy, and fresh. The Inn is situated right near to the water so you get a front row seat for the stunning sunsets. Room was spotlessly clean, quiet, and comfortable—a magical and peaceful spot that I won’t forget.
